Journalist, Sign Language Translator and Interpreter. Translation Consultant. Portuguese, English and Sign Language Professor with focus on Linguistic Advisory and Consultancy. Graduated from the professional development course in sign language interpretation (Libras) at Feneis-CE (2004-2005). Holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Unifor (2005) with certified proficiency in Libras Translation and Interpretation by the ProLibras/MEC Exam (2006) and in Libras Use and Teaching by the ProLibras/MEC Exam (2009). Holds a Master's degree in Translation Studies from UFSC (2010) with a descriptive research on translation performances for Libras, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ronice Müeller de Quadros. Holds a PhD in Translation from UFSC (2018) with a functionalist research on translation methods of poems from Libras to Portuguese, supervised by Prof. Dr. Markus J. Weininger. Experience in translation and interpretation; poetic translation; audio dubbing; musical translation and interpretation; and translation consulting. Current research interests: descriptive and functional lexicographical studies of sign languages; intermodal translation of sensitive texts; ecclesiastical interpretation; and training of sign language translators and interpreters.
